nanaluvscowsASPIRE to INSPIRE before you EXPIRE June 25 Oh My Gosh~~~time just gets away from me lately! i don't know what is goin on with me.....have had my mammo, full body bone scan, colonoscopy and only know the results of my mammo, which was normal. Thank God! that thing really hurt this year!! HOLY COW!! i sure do wish they would find a better way to do that!! i see my reg. doc, on Monday the 29th, and i see the surgeon on July 13th, so i will have some results then. Other than that, i am keeping busy with my volunteering, at my church, plus the hospital. Life is fine........sorry time gets away from me...... i think of you all almost every day, just haven't made it to the computer! :( Each of you Take care, know that you all are in my prayers, luv ya, nana June 03 Lordy,Lordy,Lordy~~~i'm tellin ya, this scrapbooking is getting to me!! i only have 2 pages left in the scrapbook, which will hold 4 setups.....but; i just found more pics this afternnon after i got home from the hospital. Jan hasn't been able to find more pages for the scrapbook, she is going to go to a couple larger cities tomorrow, so hopefully she will find some. i just thought of another thing we will need, and that is longer screws, so the book will expand. Like i said, Lordy, Lordy, Lordy!
Well, next week i will have a Mammo done, haven't had one done since i had to quit work, no insurance.....then also next week, i am going to have my first appointment with the surgeon, so i can have a colonoscopy done.....spose i shouldn't complain cuz my Uncle Len had colon cancer....just not looking forward to that procedure. Also, i will be getting a shot of something then i go back in 3 hours and i have a full body scan of all my bones!
All the blood work i had done paid off. i don't have rhuematoid(sp) arthritis. Cholesterol was good, i am low on B-12, so i got my first shot for that,i lost 5 pounds, not sure how i did that tho!! :) Next week i also have to attend a training session, to remind me what to do in an emergency, if i don't take the class, i won't be able to volunteer at the hospital.
Well, think that is about all from Michigan!! :) Ya'll take care, ya hear??? luv ya, nana May 25 Memorial Dayi just want to take the time to Thank all our Service Men and Women who serve this country and protect our many Freedoms. Now i will tell you a little about the last few days in my neck of the woods. The weather here has been beautiful! Low humidity until yesterday it climbed higher, but; today is dryer and right now it is like 66 degrees. i just love Spring! i do NOT look forward to the hot and humid days of summer, that is when you will find me inside my apartment with the air conditioner going. it is hard for me to breathe when it is so humid out.
i need to get started today on my friends daughters scrapbook for her Graduation party, June 7th. Jan and i worked together. i had asked Jan to get the pictures, news clippings to me a couple of months ago, but; she just got them to me, so i will have to work pretty fast to get it done now! i just hope my brain can come up with some good ideas on how to do the pages. i did Holly's sisters scrapbook 2 years ago and that turned out well, even if i do say so myself!!
Hope everyone is fine, take care, luv ya, nana May 10 not alot~~but; did want to Thank those that have been concerned about me. Happy Mother's Day, by the way. One of my friends that lives here locally, has sent me a Mother's Day card every year since my son died. it really touches my heart cuz with no living children sometimes people forget that Mothers that have lost their children are still Mothers. it will be 17 years this September that he passed on. Unbelieveable, i still remember it so vividly. The death of a child is something i wouldn't wish on my worst enemy!
i have not forgotten about this place, just haven't felt like communicating.......i check in on each of you ever so often , so i can keep up with whatever is happening in your lives. Take care, luv ya, nana March 11 Holy Cow!i just hurt my right wrist and the fatty part on the bottom of the hand at the end of my thumb! i decided i wanted to have some of my Cherry Juice, it was a new bottle. i have never had that much trouble! i had to use a sharp knife to try to cut between the ring and lid.......for heaven's sake. i finally got it, altho my temper was just about ready to throw it!
Lordy. (i probably wouldn't have thrown it tho, it isn't cheap!)
Well, my great-nephew, my sister Marge's grandson, had surgery, they found cancer in his bladder. Won't know til Friday what the results are. Then it probably won't be til the weekend before i am informed. My sis, Marge, had to see her Cardiologist to check her out, she has a pacemaker, they are going to send her a new device for her checkups on the pacemaker, right now they do them over the phone. Her husband saw his surgeon, he had surgery on his neck, the vein /artery was blocked 95%, they also put in a new vein to his lower right leg, cuz that was totally blocked, and his right foot and lower leg were a mess. if it isn't one thing, it's another! Good Lord......
We are scheduled for inspection on our apartments for the next 2 days, then HUD will be here the 26th, and no one knows which apt. they will pick. The Executive Director here sent out a note that said we didn't have to be home, but; i don't want them in here w/o me, i don't want my cat to sneak out, she does that sometimes. She is so mean to people she doesn't know, she hisses plus if they try to pet her she reaches out and smacks them with her clawless front paws!Whatever, they are only suppose to check the fire alarm, the emergency pulls in the bath and bedroom and check the stove and refridge that are their responsibility, check locks on the doors, make sure that no furniture is blocking the living room window, and the bedroom window for escape purposes, also make sure nothing is stacked on top of the stove burners. Any-ga-who, i will be here!
